Biodynamic gardening course - Brisbane, Australia

This 2 day course is ideal for food gardeners already using organic methods. It covers a mixture of theory and practice, building a framework of understanding for you to work with biodynamics to improve your soil, garden productivity and food quality, and at the same time, raise your awareness into the deeper spirit of nature. You will learn biodynamic gardening principles, how to use biodynamic preparations, work in tune with the planets, make biodynamic compost and tree paste. We also delve into biodynamic weed and pest control, liquid manures and general organic gardening methods. Peter Kearney is the presenter. He is an experienced biodynamic gardener and member of Biodynamic Agriculture Australia.

We both found the September biodynamic gardening course very informative and interesting and it stimulated a strong interest in biodynamics. Peter, you are a gifted teacher and are quite clearly very passionate about what you do and we are both looking forward to growing much healthier food - which was our aim in doing the course. We felt very welcome at your lovely property- and the afternoon tea was delicious". Marion and Geoff Harrington, Beaudesert.

The course sessions are held on succeeding Saturday's from 9.15am to 4.30pm in Samford, Brisbane. The course schedule is on our event calendar. For the two full days of biodynamic gardening training, comprehensive written workshop materials, biodynamic preparations starter kit and a delicious afternoon tea at each session, the workshop fee is $240 with a $20 discount to Gardener subscribers of our web site. Couples also receive a $20 discount per person. Local accommodation in home stays, at very reasonable prices, can be arranged if you are travelling from a long distance.

"I really enjoyed the course: I learned a great deal. It was very well planned, with a good mix of theory, group activities and practice. I particularly liked the inclusion of 'hands on' activities as part of the learning process, not only did it cater for those with more practical learning styles, but we now know what a properly mixed tree paste, for example, feels like. We were very well nurtured and I now understand the frequent references to afternoon tea in previous reviews". Dianne Bothams, Brisbane.
